About the fabric.
Supima cotton is grown in the U.S. and is made from 100% Pima cotton. Supima cotton is one of the best cottons in the world. All Supima cotton is Extra Long Staple.
Supima cotton is 45% stronger than than regular cottons. This is a good thing because as the cotton is refined, it remains durable. Not only is Supima cotton strong, it also gets softer over the course of time.
Unlike, regular cottons Supima cotton is expensive. I think, that's shown in the price break down. A solid regular cotton is around 2/3 to 1/2 the cost of Supima.
Micromodal is super fine fiber that is incredibly incredibly soft. Micromodal is a cellulosic fiber made from the Beech tree. It's very eco-friendly and possesses some amazing properties. It's also Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified.
Micromodal might be the softest fiber on the market, today. It wicks moisture incredibly well, making it so that your skin feels dry. In the cooler months this keeps you warm and in the warmer months it helps keep your body cool.
The blending of both fibers makes perfect marriage. You get an incredibly soft and durable garment that will always make you look and feel, great!
The fabric we are using was processed and knitted in Canada. Our thermal fabric is 50/50 Supima cotton/Micromodal. It weighs about 290 grams after dye. The jersey is also a 50/50 blend and weighs around 270 grams. These knits, will make some fine fall/winter staples.
The lead times for the thermals and tees are going to be quick. We made enough thermal to make around 150 pieces. That's about 36 pieces per color. We knitted enough jersey to make 190 pieces. That's about 47 pieces per color. 4 color ways will be used.
The Thermal Henley will finish first, followed by the jersey.
